Powerlifting sport history and introduction

Powerlifting is a force sport that comprises three events, or disciplines whether or not you will. These include the squat, the bench press, and the deadlift. Like any other sport that requires force training, powerlifting has its own rules, peculiar practice techniques and instrumentation. It takes lots of practice to master proper methods and become a professionally prepared athlete in this sport.

Sport of powerlifting begun in the usa. In the begining there was no powerlifting but something that was called odd lifts. Such sport includes a wide range of heavy lifts, which sometimes included the present exercises, like squat, bench press, and deadlift. From place to place, the rules differ, unless at some point in time the sport as we know it today was formed. From there on, it was famous and accepted widely in USSR, cohesive kingdom and in some countries throughout the world.

In the present day we have more than one federations international that function separately from each other with their own peculiar version of the rules. The international powerlifting federation (ipf) represents the international ruling body for the sport of powerlifting. Some of the well known federations include usapl, raw, adfpf, wpc, wpo, apf and so on. They all fashion their own peculiar rules regarding lifts that are performed, instrumentation that is applied, whether the drug testing are going to be carried out and some other affiliated matters.
